Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (the "Policy") sets out the rules for using Scoreline (the "Service"), operated by BROWNZ MEDIA SERVICES LTD (company number 17225531). It forms part of our Terms of Service. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. General principle

Use the Service lawfully, respectfully and only for its intended purpose — scoring matches and producing live overlays for snooker, pool and darts. Do not use it in any way that harms Brownz Media, other users, or anyone else.

2. Prohibited content

You must not upload, store or display content (including club names, league names, player names, nicknames, notes and match labels) that:

• is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, abusive, threatening, obscene or hateful;
• infringes anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
• contains personal data about other people that you do not have the right to use;
• is deliberately false or misleading, or impersonates another person or organisation; or
• contains malware or other harmful code.

3. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, other users' accounts, or any underlying systems or data;
• probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service, or breach or circumvent its security or authentication;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, for example by overloading it, or by automated scraping, crawling or bulk data extraction beyond what the features are designed for;
• reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law;
• resell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Service without our written permission;
• share invitation links or match links with people for purposes you are not authorised to enable; or
• use the Service to send spam or to violate any applicable law or regulation.

4. Responsibility for player and third-party data

If you add information about other people (such as players in a roster), you are responsible for doing so lawfully and for respecting their privacy. Remember that public scoreboard and table views may display player names during a match. See our Privacy Policy for more.

5. Reporting misuse

If you become aware of any content or activity that breaches this Policy, please report it to phil@brownzmedia.co.uk.

6. Consequences of breach

If you breach this Policy, we may take any action we consider appropriate, including removing content, issuing a warning, and suspending or terminating your access to the Service. We may also report serious matters to the relevant authorities and cooperate with them. Our rights under the Terms of Service continue to apply.

7. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above shows when it was last revised, and your continued use of the Service means you accept the current version.
